I spent October 2003 in Seattle and decided to drive up there (from the Bay Area) in order the see the beautiful Pacific North West from ground level. On my way north I drove through Crater Lake (Oregon), while on the way back I took HWY-101 from the north-western tip of Oregon (Astoria) all the way to the Bay Area, covering the Oregon coast line in full (was worth every mile of the 350).
